Dominic was born in London, England on the 17th of February 1970 and was raised by his norwegian father and irish mother in Australia. Briefly living in Bondi, Sydney and then moving to the Western Suburbs, Dominic finished school and moved into being a landscaper. Finding this profession boring, Dominic became interested in acting, although this was an unlikely career choice for him due to his working class background.

Heading into drama school, Dominic studied at The Australian Theater for Young People and then later enrolled at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. It was at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts that Dominic met Rebecca, his wife to be. He also studied with Hugh Jackman.

Dominic's acting career didn't hit big time until his role as Lincoln Burrow's in FOX's Prison Break, but he has had many successful roles before this. In 1997 Dominic scored himself a role in the TV series RAW FM, which lead to him landing a role on Mission Impossible 2, which was filmed in Australia.

Since being spotted by a US talent scout after doing MI2, Dominic has had some steady work with TV show, John Doe (2002), various movies such as Blade Trinity (2004), Primeval and some guest spots on TV shows such as House M.D and North Shore.

Since hitting the acting world in the face with his now most famous role, Lincoln Burrows (Prison Break), Dominic is getting more and more offers for bigger movie roles and has a movie, Towncreek, in the works and is set for a release in 2008.
